Treatment
Rural Response Network
What is Treatment?
The goal of a treatment program is to help people develop the support skills and tools that will allow them to remain abstinent from substance abuse and recover from this chronic, progressive and fatal disease.
Treatment starts with an Assessment by a trained professional to determine your individual needs. The clinician will utilize the American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria to recommend a level of care for you to be placed in. This could range from Detox, Residential or Intensive Outpatient services. Medication Assisted Treatment can be utilized in conjunction with therapy. A treatment plan will be developed with you to make your individual plan of care. Treatment is not time based as each individual recovers differently. Recovery is a personal lifelong process.
A treatment provider should utilize evidenced based practices and be able to offer a full continuum of care to meet your needs.
