About LINC

Vision and Mission

The vision of LINC is creating and fostering a community that is educated and compassionate on the effects of substance use and the treatment of mental health disorders.

The mission of LINC is providing education, prevention, and harm reduction resources to citizens about substance use and mental health disorders through our alliance of behavioral health partners.

LINC Origins
The Local Initiative Networking Compassion (LINC) is a charitable nonprofit organized to fight against opioid, narcotic, and other substance abuses by helping those struggling with debilitating addictions find detoxification and rehabilitation services among qualified providers whose treatment programs foster recovery from withdrawal and ultimately recuperation toward sober living.  Recidivism statistics indicate that arresting chronic substance abusers and then releasing them after their prison term does not reintroduce sober citizens back into society.  Instead, substance abusers continue with their substance abuses.

To break this nonproductive cycle, the LINC formalized a collaboration between village council, police, fire, emergency services, businesses, faith-based organizations, and lay volunteers who all partner as a community to help these suffering citizens overcome their addictions and reclaim their lives back into their community.  Finding and placing substance abusers into effective treatment centers, and then providing life-coaching, teaching relapse-prevention, and introducing wellness behaviors orients these citizens back toward living a healthy and drug-free life. Since LINC was established over “130” individuals have been assisted with the getting the
help they needed.
